Meet Katie Kozlova

Katie (Ekaterina) Kozlova is a regular morning show guest on two of our stations in Springfield, Missouri and assists with our promotions and sales departments.   In 2013 She moved from her home country of Russia to the U.S. ,  joined our team three years ago, and we recently celebrated her passing the U.S. Citizenship Exam!  Congrats Katie! Hear more about Katie’s story below.

'“I am originally from the Siberian Region of Russia - city Omsk. I've lived there till the age of 16 and moved to the states with my mom with a bare minimum English language knowledge. Me and my mom originally moved to Bolivar Missouri and that's where I graduated high school. I then went to OTC for Electronic Media Production and then transferred to Drury University and studied Journalism and Multimedia for 2 more years. One of my biggest hobbies are skating, playing my classic guitar and my podcast! I have lived in the states for 8 years and just recently become a U.S citizen!

I started my podcast as a school project and it has become bigger than that very quickly. For the first season I have interview immigrants from Slavic countries and one of the coolest guests I had was Yakov Smirnoff! He is one of the most popular Slavic comedians and interviewing him for my podcast was a true honor. Later that episode and my podcast got the first place from the MBA”
